I personally have never actually been to a wedding, or involved with one but I still have a reasonable knowledge of the current tackiness that prevails on the Bridesmaid dress circuit. Well fear not soon to be bridesmaids, Sydney based fashion label Manning Cartell have launched a line of dresses specifically for all of you fearing that you will be draped in terrible fitting, horribly coloured satin ensembles. The new line is full of beautifully draped pastel georgettes, superbly fitted peplum and feminine silhouettes, taking on the approach of making the Bridesmaids outfit compliment the bride rather then make the bride shine like a rose in a garden of weeds.
The three founding sisters Vanessa, Gabrielle and Cheryl Manning have collaborated with the incredible illustrator Pippa McManus to create some beautiful sketches for the range's lookbook. The range is being launched in selected stores along with appointment only VIP service in selected areas where different styles, sizes and colours can be ordered along with an in store stylist to assist in the process. The ten piece collection is available in nine different fabrications, including silk crepe de chine, matt sequinned and intertwined lace varieties.
