April Recap

This month I turned 23 surrounded by the people who love and support me in everything I do, and I couldn't ask for a better group of beautiful souls. Surround yourself with people who raise you up not put you down for who you are. And always be true to who you are, because the people who matter don't mind and the people who mind don't matter.

Minus a few important people, but a shoutout to all of you nonetheless, I love you eternally thankyou for making me smile every day.

To my forever #1, thankyou for always being there for me when I need you the most.

Current favourite snapchat filter: the "hoe" flower crown

I had Hannah's engagement party which was such a beautiful affair. She deadset looked like an actual princess. I can't believe how many of my friends are getting married! I am so excited to see this beautiful couple tie the knot.

Another one of my favourite things to do on snapchat is play "Guess the celebrity" with my friends. If you want to add me my username is yeswanderlust. Angelina Jolie.

Above I assume you can guess who that is.

Lily Collins

Minimal makeup Kylie Jenner

Kim Kardashian

One of my favourites, Kendall Jenner with Blue contacts

Another favourite, Megan Fox.

During this month I also tried out a float tank. My experience wasn't that great and I had salt water such in my ears for ages afterwards. I think it might be better to go to a place where the tubs have a lid. My one didn't have a lid I could close so I was staring at dimmed led lights the whole time, which really took away from the whole sensory deprivation thing. I will try it again but not at the place I went in Miranda.

These are some old extensions I had sitting around from when I had brown hair. I tried using a Brite Organix "One day" colour dye on the but the end result wasn't really photo worthy. The extensions are just hard and gross now and I really need to wash out the stuff but I just haven't been bothered.

My next project involved buying my own hair extensions and doing it myself at home. This is how I went about doing it. It took forever so of course I was watching something in the background whilst I was doing it.

Step 1: Lay out baking paper and then cling wrap to cover the floor space. I used baking paper So I could see the colour better. Lay out the extensions.

Step 2: Paint them on both sides and then keep going. I painted the top half of each extensions and then the bottom half.

This is the final product and considering I used the same dye that I use to dye my own hair, the colours matched perfectly.

I took them to the hairdresser to get them placed on my head which cost me $100. A couple of them were placed wrong and needed to be redone later but other then that they were perfect.

Never felt so confident with my hair.

Birthday shout out to my babygirl Nicole <3

I made some blue soy candles to raise money for beyondblue. I ended up raising $100!

Going places in your neighbourhood you've never been before and enjoying the quiet moments in life. Currently reading 'Flowers in the Attic' by V.C. Andrews.

South Coast NSW Roadtrip IV. Callala Bay

The last day of my South Coast roadtrip was my Birthday, I turned 23, and I couldn't have imagined a better way to start it. The sunrise was beyond magical. #sorrynotsorry for the sunrise spam/ dog photoshoot.

That fear in her eyes..

Not only does Mahria have two crazy photogenic dogs, she also has two beautiful horses Finchy and Shelley.

Sassie is just completely fearless.

This was my last meal with Mahria before she went to work and I started making my way home.

Words cannot express how grateful I am to you Mahria for letting me stay at your place and making me feel like I have a home away from from. I had such an amazing time with you even if we couldn't spend that much time because of your work. I truly cherish every moment we had together. Can't wait to come back and see you after my exams.

Quick stop off at Cupitt's winery to admire the view.

First rest stop, Callala Bay Jetty.

We also stopped off at Callala Creek for a little run around.

This is Callala Beach. It is very close to Hyam's but we didn't have time to backtrack. As you can see the sand is quite white hear. Still not entirely sure why there was so much red seaweed but it looked beautiful. I can only imagine how spectacular an aerial shot of this landscape would have looked.

Big paws

My partner in crime and in life, I don't know where I would be without my fellow adventurer.

This was the last stop on our journey home. I was just so overwhelmed with how stunning the rolling hills looked near Kiama, I just had to pull over to capture the moment. Not only did I turn 23 on this roadtrip but I also grew emotionally. I think this roadtrip made me stronger and taught me to love my own company. Even if technically I was never really alone and always had my number one main girl by my side. It just reminded me of who I was when I lived in London, independant, adventurous, curious and brave. Being alone is not something to be upset about or afraid of. It is something to be embraced. I find that the times I am alone are the times I grow the most into the person I want to be, not someone who is influenced by the people around me. If there is one quote I will always live by it’s by Dr Seuss, “Today you are you, that is truer then true. There is no one alive that is youer then you."
