Part two of my amazing trip with Oz Snow to Queenstown, featuring a few legends.
Queenstown is just so insanely beautiful. Photos will never do this place justice. I just love mountains so much.
Found some little goats on my stroll this morning
This was our planned activities day. We signed up to go on the Shotover Jet which is an iconic Queenstown activity and I genuinely cannot recommend it enough. Basically you get into a tiny little boat and the driver speeds around this beautiful river, repeatedly making these terrifying turns. I don't know the physics of how we stayed in the boat but somehow we did. If you want to feel like you are having multiple near death experiences in a sort of controlled environment, than this is the activity for you.
They give you these tiny little face masks. Make sure you dress warm, it gets so insanely windy on the jet boat.
Glad to be back
After the shotover jet, I spent most of the day relaxing in town. Seeing the sights and recovering my legs from a couple of hectic days of snowboarding. A few of the other travel agents on my trip signed up to do the AJ Hackett Bungy. I am not good with heights to begin with, the idea of jumping off a cliff or a plane just do not appeal to me in any way.
Is it really a day in Queenstown if you haven't had a Ferg?
After meeting with Steph for lunch we popped down to the bay to take in some incredible views.
Home to the hostel for a hot tub to prepare for another night of mayhem with the crew.
The pub crawl involved pre's at Cowboys, shots at Zephyrs before hitting up the infamous -5 Ice Bar where things started to get a little raunchy. Removing clothing equalled a shot from an ice luge, lets just say that..
Last dinner with the fam at a Korean BBQ in town.
So much soju was consumed..rowdiest dinner in a while
More bars, more crawling, ended up with a cowboy hat that came all the way home with me!
Theme of the night it seems
Now THIS is how you end a night in Queenstown
Comfort hungover brunch before the sad flight home
What an incredible experience! Huge thankyou to Oz Snow for hosting an amazing week in Queenstown. They have a heap of other destinations they travel to. I am super keen to check out their Nozawa Onsen trip when borders re-open.
