September Recap

Enter September, the month of random promo jobs and a seemingly endless supply of unsuccessful job interviews. Above was a job I did standing in a school at Glebe showing people how to vote for someone other then Clover Moore. I think Clover Moore still won. I don't know, I don't really have much interest in local politics.

Spring arrived, breathtaking as always.

I spent a lot of my time mastering salads. This is what I will usually mix into a salad:
  • A bit of everything from the S.A.M.S Salad box (pictured below)
  • Carrot
  • Capsicum
  • Cucumber
  • Rocket
  • Baby Spinach

  • Linseed
  • Chia Seed
  • Avocado
  • Red Salmon
  • Mix in a bit of French Dressing and you're ready to go

That time I got a promo job selling perfumes at MYER. I was meant to work 9 hours. I left after 5. It was possibly one of the worst jobs I have ever had. And I've worked at McDonald's. Actually McDonalds wasn't that bad. Employment is employment, lets be real.

After mastering how to take out extensions (coconut oil and a comb) it was time to get my hair did again.

I actually really liked the colour it was at the time. It was a really nice pearly silver. But as you can see it was pretty ratty at the time.

This outcome was produced literally by just washing my hair with De Lorenzo Rosewood shampoo. No dying necessary.

Getting my extensions put in. I applied more of the rosewood shampoo to my roots the next time I washed my hair.

Another random promo job, handing out flyers at Vogue Fashion Night out.

Going to my first DEFQON1.

I had such a good day. Don't knock it til you try it. May be the only one I go to. But it was such an amazing experience. Would love to go to Tomorrowland one day.

PEDESTRIAN.TV X TRIVIAL PURSUIT 2000's

After many, many unsuccessful job interviews I had finally landed not only a job trial, but a job trial for my dream position at one of the best Fashion PR companies in Sydney. I spent the week in complete disbelief and amazement. This is the above the line and below the line wall.

Trying out new bars around the area. One of my new favourites, Button Bar. I went in there one night for a glass of red. It ended up as one never ending glass of red, and a few tequila shots with the bartenders. That was a good night.

The Friday of my trial week. I found out that day that I would be officially starting with them next Monday. I nearly cried, I couldn't believe that after so many interviews, I had finally landed not just a job, but my dream job!

This is my desk at work. I am the new Office & Showroom Coordinator for Tailormaid Communications. As Lana Del Rey once famously quoted, "Now my life is sweet like cinnamon. Like a fucking dream I'm living in." I believe that a lot of things happen for a reason. I think that the interviews I wasn't successful for were merely just more practice for the real thing. A couple of the companies I applied for retail positions at, we are actually looking after them as clients at my new company. I genuinely think the universe was pushing me away from these retail positions. At the time I was upset because I felt so unemployable. When really it was just the universe letting me know that I was meant for greater things. Always stay positive, positive vibes will come back to you ten-fold.
