Things I want/ need oh baby, oh baby

Currently in the process of procrastinating my 4 assessments for The Fashion Institute and studying my 3 essays and writing 1 more for my final philosophy exam. I have spent over 2 days doing this one Buying assessment and have only completed section 1. And to give you a basic idea of what I spent all that time doing, 'cut' 'paste' 'crop' 'move'. So many moodboards, so little care for fashion anymore. But on the positive side in doing this I was able to spend a few hours watching Luke play South Park, The Stick of Truth and I completed the whole first and only season of Freaks and Geeks. If you have not seen it, do it now. And if you have, WHY ARE THERE NO MORE EPISODES! Seriously one of my new favourite series of all time right next to Daria and the Simpsons. I am writing this post because my 21st is coming up and all I can think about is all the things I have always wanted but would never get because I can never fathom spending more then $30 on an item of clothing because I am #1brokegirl. But for once I am going to put my savings game on hold and treat myself. My final philosophy exam is literally on the day of my birthday party (feel like a little kid saying that). As soon as that exam is over I am free for at least the next month, minus work. As long as I get all these ridiculously time consuming and mind numbing fasshuun assessments completed before then. Wish me luck!

Here are some things I have been dreaming about lately to help get me through day to day life.

White Timberlands

Unif I DYE MOTO Jacket

Samantha Wills Aries Gold

Sherbet sunrise crop

Srsly love anything with Bart

A big ol' denim Levi Jacket

Nomadic store stop being on holiday!

A new tattoo. I want to get a black ink outline of the world map on my wrist. I know this sounds stupid but I would really love to get something Simpson's related, even if it is just a small quote or a little picture of something like a donut or something. A smiling crescent moon on the inside of my ankle. And I would also like to one day get a personal Miso tattoo on the back of my elbow. That would be amazing!

One day I will own something by Charmaine Olivia and it will be amazing. I can't wait to live in an a pretty apartment where I can hang beautiful paintings like this.

The perfect hat. The Montana Midnight Muse hat by Lack of Colour

Going to keep adding to this as a break from study. But right now I really need to sort myself out and study so hard my brain melts in to a puddle, which I will then scoop up and put in to a water bottle, which I will take in to the exam with me. As soon as the exam starts I will open the bottle and pour the contents all over my exam. And that will be it, and I will be done. And then I get to celebrate my 21st!

Thailand Last Day

Here's to Thailand! Here's to our first overseas trip together! Here's to the Mangosteen resort for being over the top fantastic every single day we were there. This was such a great trip. I can't wait to go back. We had the best time, no food poisonings, no drink spiking, none of our things were stolen. Sometimes people overthink trips to "unsafe" places and sometimes it even turns them off their trip altogether. Thailand is an amazing place. Even though when we were there, there was political turmoil up north everything was still fine. The biggest tip I can give is just to be smart. That sounds so simple and silly but it is what will get you home in one piece. I always see people posting photos of these amazing cocktails and bragging about how cheap drinks are in Thailand, there is a reason they are so cheap. Drink bottled and avoid ice. If you are going to Thailand, be smart and stay safe. It is an incredibly beautiful place.

This was the room we got to stay in for a whole week! We felt like royalty. And yes that is an outdoor rain shower.

We spent our last day chilling by the pool. We checked out in the morning and were allowed to hang out, eat breakfast, lunch, swim in the pool all day. We were even given a room to shower in before we left. If you want to go to Thailand to relax and have your every need catered to, I highly recommend this resort. It cost about $10 to get to Kata Beach, $15 to Patong, it's a little far away from the hustle and bustle but it's worth it. We found out about this place through groupon, so check there frequently for amazing deals like our one.

Sadly it had to come to an end. The trip home was the worst flight I have ever been on in my life. I had taken sleeping pills because I can't sleep, let alone on planes. I was just drifting off to sleep when the smelly man in front of me started to mow his lawn. His snoring was so loud. Everyone else on the plane was asleep at this point. I didn't get it. How could they have slept when there was a jackhammer in front of me? I may have kicked his chair a few times, hoping he would roll in a certain way that would make him not snore as loud, or that he would wake up long enough for me to fall asleep. But he didn't. I spent that whole night on the plane awake. I broke down crying at one point because my body just couldn't take it. But you know what, it's in the past. I will never see that awful smelly man again. And I don't think I will ever fly overnight again, unless it is 100% necessary.

After the flight we picked up our duty free. A big and a small skull vodka, Canadian Club, Vodka and Luke got some things too. I also picked up a bag of Hershey's Kisses which are actually all gone now..
All in all, Thailand was amazing. If you have any questions message me here and I will try to help you out. For now here are some things you should do and places you should go if you are planning a trip there.

Thailand Patong

Our last full day in Thailand started at the Naughty Raddish in Patong. This is an absolute MUST for breakfast, brunch or lunch. The wraps are exquisite. You basically choose a salad or a wrap, and then you pick your insides and your sauces, it's basically subway but actually nice. I went with satay dressing, best decision you can make. But in all seriousness, go here if you want a nice and healthy juice and breakfast to refresh your body from the night before. The detox juice is the best I've ever had!

I have the biggest fascination with McDonald's in other countries. I always love to see the little differences, even if it's just one item different. I will never forget the curly fries and dipping sauce I had in Prague. Didn't actually try it, but thought this bubble drink looked pretty interesting.

Have a read, you won't regret it.

Our last full day in Thailand was spent shopping on Bangla road. We decided to take a little break from getting yelled at in the street and had our feet eaten by tiny fish. I have had this before in Camden Markets London, but it was still fun to share with Luke.

It's pretty great. Who doesn't love having their feet nibbled on by little fish?

Our shopping included: 2 pairs of "Nikes", 4 shirts, a couple of "Phuket" boardies (you know the ones), soap that came in the shape of a mango, multiple little buddha figurines, endless bracelets and anklets, including a yin yang one that I am completely obsessed with and a really cute elephant bag.
Haggling is so much fun. It is actually so much fun to just access this completely shut off side of yourself. You become rude, you play hard ball, you get them as low as they can go and if it's not low enough you just walk out in to the next shop which will have the same product. I do not like being yelled at. We got stuck in one street at one point which we thought was a through road but instead ended on the entrance of a hotel (would be hell staying at that hotel). Literally every single person yelled at us, grabbed us, held clothes up against our bodies, spoke in Australian accents, that one threw me off a little, but after about 2 minutes it was just incredibly annoying.

Also remember to always keep your back close to you. If you are a guy, keep everything in your front pockets. Pick pocketing is cray cray over there. We were lucky, but in saying that, we were also extremely careful.

Mango street crepes. Any street crepes is a MUST. They are amazing!

I decided to really go all out tourist, I braided my hair and Luke and I got henna tattoos, one of which was matching. I copied his elephant because it was adorable, and this trip had made me so completely obsessed with those loveable giants.

One of the bars in Thailand, I think the name has tiger in it, I can't be completely sure though.

After our day of shopping we went back to the hotel dropped off our things and went to the Dino Park for some mini golf at dusk.

The elephant.

All henna'd up. Also if you would like to know Luke won at mini golf. I am awful at most things sporty, but I had fun.

We ate dinner across the road at this really nice steak house. I lost my mind when we looked across the road and saw the smallest baby elephant I had ever seen in my entire life.

Look at his little mouth!!

And his little ears!!

He had all this bristly fur on his head and his back.

I can't even. I have never been more obsessed with an animal then I was with this elephant (maybe my dog), I could not stop looking at it.

That smile!!

I got kissed by a baby elephant!!

I convinced Luke that we needed to go back to Bangla Road, it was our last night in Thailand and we should make the most of it. We walked up and down that strip so many times that night, I actually had so much fun. We took a video of the walk one time, Luke and I got asked 28 times if we wanted to see a ping pong show..

A ladyboy that had it's "boy" removed, Luke checked. Look at that concerned face, he is mortified.

Oh Bangla Road, how I will miss your craziness, but definitely not your smell.

Collective polaroids from the trip. We spent the rest of the night drinking Singha's and playing with the friendly stray cat, and of course still trying to come to terms with the fact that we were in this incredible resort in THAILAND!
