V. Warhol x Ai Wei Wei

For this post I have tried not to overshare in case you want to go and see this exhibit for yourself at the National Gallery of Victoria. Although for those of you who won't be able to I have tried to give you the feeling that we are enjoying the exhibit together. I am so happy I got to see this exhibit, I really love losing myself in art and I hope one day I can be an artist but before then I need a career to support my artistic passions. Welcome to the Andy Warhol x Ai Wei Wei Exhibition.

Me and Mama's last day in Melbourne together.

I have mainly taken photos of the artworks that I really loved or that spoke to me in a particular way.

Obsessed with minimalist art.

I loved this series of illustrations/ paintings, so simple and pretty.

The whole interior of this room was made of lego.

Sadly we didn't get to see the rest of the museum as mum had to fly back to Sydney that afternoon. This was our last tram ride through Melbourne together.

After mum caught the bus to the airport I went to H&M to check out the bargains/ wait for Paige. When she got there we shopped around for a little but it was so hot we decided to go back to the airBnB for a swim.

This is when I was attacked by the sweet chilli philly. We spent the afternoon by the pool soaking up the sun. Made friends with some band people that were staying in the same apartments. I can't remember the bands they were from but I think one of them was from Bring me the Horizon? I don't know I am pretty terrible when it comes to music.

That night was New Years Eve. We got well dolled up and headed to the Village for a pretty poorly put together NYE event.

Doll eyes

It was a fun event I guess but there were only 4 options for food the whole night, the dj was awful and I kid you not, no one even counted down New Years!? Who does that at a NEW YEARS EVENT? Seriously it was such a let down event, but lets be real, all events on NYE are pretty overrated. It's the people you spend it with that matter the most.

Also mum sent me this during the night which made me a little teary. Look at that little seal platform. Love them.

Had such an epic night. Got home at 5am and Paige went to party with the friends we met earlier. I was so grossly hungover that morning. Don't think I actually got much sleep at all even though I really did try. And then we got to do it all over again for Nicole's event on New Year's Day!
