Because the best things in life don't cost a thing, spending the afternoon with my babe in bed.
Finally tried Pho from AN in Bankstown. I decided to go all in and get the combination beef pho. I really liked the pieces of rare beef, they were my favourite and I would recommend you get that if you go here. This is probably the most authentic asian dish I have ever had. I am not one to get grossed out by tripe or interesting food, but I can't say I was the biggest fan of the beef tendon. It was an awkward combination of cartilage and fat that you pretty much had to eat in one bite. I had to spit it out, I just couldn't get it down. The pho was quite nice, I have to say though I think I prefer Ramen.
One of the girls from work, Amy was moving overseas to study, so we decided to get the work people together for a cute little family dinner. We went to Zesta Greek Restaurant in Menai and had the buffet which included things like haloumi, calamari, souvlaki, dips, breads and some other great edibles. But the highlight of the night was this beauty, the vanilla sundae. I have never had an icecream like this before (yes I know I need to go to Bay Vista) it was pretty spectacular. This was shared between three and we still didn't finish it.
Missy and Sassie, reclined.
I have now finished interning at Myer. I really loved it, it was such an amazing opportunity. I really hope I can one day get a job in it, as it is something I feel really passionate about. But at the moment I just can't afford to intern. #1brokegirl And I was able to gain experience on all of the floors which was my goal at the beginning and I achieved it, so I am pretty happy about that.
Went to ikea the other week and had a massive shopping day with Lani. Bought a lot of furniture that I had been planning to get for a long time. My room feels so much more complete now. I don't know how I am ever going to move out of home, I have made myself too comfortable.
I am so terrible at putting together ikea furniture. I always seem to put the pieces together the wrong way.
Took my dogs on a walk through the bush. We went to this waterfall that I always love going. It had recently rained and I wouldn't have gone down there this time, but I saw a really beautiful flower that I just had to have. This is my dog walking home after going for a swim. She looks like such a fox.
Sassie on the other hand just looks like a drowned mess. She didn't even go in the water, that's just from Missy wetting her.
Had a YES night with Yol and Saya. Saya played ultimate wifey and cooked us this ridiculously amazing dinner. Everything is handmade. Chicken, tofu and salmon rolls, tempura sweet potato, asparagus and eggplant, and some miso soup. This was her first time making all of this. She did so well I literally can't even.
And she had also prepared this for us. We were so spoilt. We literally were eating until we burst.
GOOD NEWS!!!! NO MORE P PLATES!!!! So happy I finally have my full license. And i am so happy that my hair is purple for the photo, I find that hilarious. I can't wait to be showing this to people 5 years from now. I wonder what colour my hair will be then.
Went to the pet shop and depressed myself looking at all the beautiful cats and wanting to take every single one home. I went in there to look at the budgies, I really would like one. Has anyone ever had a budgie? Please message me about it. I would preferably want to get one young so I could train it.
Luke bought a GoPro!! And I am lucky enough to be able to borrow it for Cairns next week where I will be snorkelling at the Great Barrier Reef!!! It makes me so happy to see him be so excited about his new toy. It is pretty amazing quality too.
This is going to be me all next week underwater (plus a GoPro haha). So excited, I can't wait to be one of "those GoPro people". And I can't wait to use it on our cruise to Vanuatu and New Caledonia.
Sometimes it's nice to go outside sometimes and do the exact same thing you would be doing inside, except outside.
My room decor feat clean laundry
Loving my music set up at the moment. Definitely need to add to my collection. If anyone knows anyone selling cheap, good quality vinyl please hit me up.
Has their been too much food in this blog post? Can their ever be too much food? This was my Pa's birthday (unrelated). We went to Sharks club in Cronulla to the Chinese Restaurant. It was pretty affordable, and the serving sizes were huge!
A couple of weeks ago my cafe accidentally dropped plastic in my acai. I didn't realise til I got to the bottom, I called them and told them, and they were so apologetic. They now all know me, and ended up giving me two free acai smoothies. Which they really didn't need to do, but it was still pretty kind of them. Happy to say they are still my favourite place to breakfast.
Well that was a whole lot of nothing, thanks for reading. Tune in next week for my trip to Cairns!!
